Ate in with just your household
And said we will get together after this
Quarantine for I miss you so.

He said he would return
Today he returned
To remind us he was always there for us

Say hello to the holidays, spend it doing things you enjoy for it is the season to remember miracles.

Sometimes there are no words to describe the experiences you have with others. Friends are always there giving suggestions. My goodness, is what I think of as half robotic body for none of my relationships live without the internet, am reprogramming. All I have to ask of this systems upload, seriously fix the bugs that make me seemingly separate from reality. Until then figure me downloading into myself.

I sleep to end the tiredness, though it never seems to disappear only small moments of energy bring smiles temporarily. Is it the longer days with darkness outside? The weighed down comfort food of the holiday season? Our body shutting down to keep the chill from our bones? Or the sadness that the kindness from the phrase “Its the holidays!” doesn’t last all year? Whatever the reason or maybe some I didn’t even mention, tell that tired person inside roll out of bed we got things to accomplish.

I know I have written a lot about things many people would say “Huh, why do you care?” My only answer to that is “Why not care!” You care about yourself enough to get dressed, keep clean and find away to live in the warmth of the home you created. So again, I ask, why not care? Care about the people around you, the neighborhood you live in, the city you work within, the country you pay taxes for, and the world that continues to give us oxygen to breathe. Caring is not just personal, it is a mandatory universal. We all contribute either way so make it something you don’t have to complain about. Make the world complaint free, or at least above a level of smog and dust because we all want to know what made the worlds oldest person live so long. I bet it was because they let the insignificant things go and cared about the important items. So what are you going to add to your list of what to care about?

I work in schools, I used to be a teacher full time and as a teacher we had expectations we were bound to follow by state and federal standards. Classes had to be safe zones, free of bullying and all other types of criminal behavior. We do this as teachers because we are required to not only to educationally enhance students intellectually but also emotionally and socially. We teachers build wisdom of individuals to create professional members of society. There is even a book about it “Everything I needed to know I learned in Kindergarten.” Habits like standing in line, don’t call people names, share, walk with your scissors pointed down, don’t interrupt while other people are talking, don’t lie, cheat or steal and especially be kind to your elders. All of these are basic rules of society or so I thought. Some of the jobs I have had all I hear that is not the real world. Instead, I am learning that the real world consists of the exact opposite? Careful watch your money, don’t trust people they will take advantage of you if they can. Someone the other day was proud to announce he was a hustler, can you believe it? I am in shock! I can’t and don’t want to believe it.
I don’t understand why we have to be so careful because someone is going to steal the deal, the idea, the land, the client, the customer, etc. I have been in certain stores and I continue to shop there because they ask was anyone working with you on this? Why does this matter, it does because the company has a policy to make sure none of its employees steal another’s workers commission. They created a safe work environment allowing the right person to get compensated for the work they put into their customer service. Which is why I as a customer feels good about going back to those stores, I feel I won’t be hammered into something I don’t want or fought over because I know the next customer will get the same care and attention I did, they created a safe environment. Those other places feel like old used car lots trying to sell you bad cars. It was so bad we had to make so called “lemon laws”.
So I go back to the school environment and it is a whole different world. I read a book to some students and they got all riled up because I read that the character in the story was being called ” dumb”, it was as if I did the worst thing possible and was going to be sent to the principal to write the biggest reflection paper ever and my parents would be called too all for reading the word dumb from a book. However in the real world I have heard songs say much worse about people. In fact in the real world this word is so common it could be thought of used as often as the word “store”. So I ask my fellow educators, parents, and adults with no children, why are we creating safe environments in schools if in the real world it is perfectly ok to lie, cheat and steal or bully someone to get to the top? I don’t know about you but I would rather disassemble the hunger games society in order to create a safe country.

Fidel Castro died and I saw this picture on National Geographic’s Instagram link here https://instagram.com/p/BNRuQD3jSjI/ I was disgusted and angry. I didn’t know much about his dictatorship until now and I guess people didn’t prefer his leadership either. Probably the reason why Americans weren’t allowed to travel to Cuba. Only recently was the first commercial flight in years.
Though in the picture I see two little girls probably barely able to read, learning to shoot guns, UGH! Then my mind changed perception and thought those girls are going Lorena Bobbitt on his self, yeah for them. A second later I thought oh no, just what the NRA needs, they would love to capitalize on that picture for their campaign. Then reason and disgust with anger deepened and I saw another picture of those two same young friends coming to me with bowls on their heads, cookie sheets attached to their chests and backs along with guns they pulled from their parents closets saying “Were ready for war.” and their moms reply back once her adrenaline laced mommy bear instinct kicked in pulling the guns away from them ” No child of mine is going to war, you’ll have to wait till your 18.” She almost breaks down in tears as she hides the guns in a place where they don’t know and will never find out.
Picture your Kindergarteners going off to war, fighting with real guns and bullets. It is a disgusting crime against humanity. It wasn’t just Cuba where this has happened, here is a link to an article put out by the United Nations https://childrenandarmedconflict.un.org/effects-of-conflict/six-grave-violations/child-soldiers/ . When did protecting children from the dangers of the world stop? I then remind myself of the movie Life is Beautiful where most of the time a father tries to keep his child from not knowing he is going through the tortures of death camp. Watch here https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=WqPV-nuDulw . I know we want to teach children to see all sides but sometimes distraction is good but not in this scenario where we are required to protect our children and ourselves, be open minded see, read, hear everything. You have to see all the stories, dissect them because I know you as someone who may have your own young children, you don’t want to see your own child hurt or dead. See all the possible imagery even if it requires you to respond in two different ways. If you do see different stories question why? Know there is conflict out there http://cnn.it/2fFwYa3 in more than one country.
Which leads me to mention part of the reason your person didn’t win or won was because you may have not known all the stories. Take on this responsibility as an individual, a person, a human being or just someone who knows young children shouldn’t be holding guns. See everything and react appropriately to all scenarios but above all save your children, yourself our country from danger.

I don’t have a formula that will create all families to stop arguing, countries to stop conquering, and political parties to achieve the more than the simple majority. Though I know to be on a workable relationship you need the large majority. People are different in so many ways and have motivations that aren’t always clear. Though you know if they truly are your friend, trust comes natural. That friendly bond allows you to be more willing to talk about issues even bring up those tough conversations, maybe even consider their radical ideas. You are able to because you know you can trust them because you trust their motives. Motives for learning, motives for living, and especially their motives for being your friend. Find someone, make them your friend for the simple reason of wanting more friends.

The last presidential election I was very vague about who I wanted to be president because I believe in people making informed choices for who they wanted in office based upon their own moral and ethical values. I still believe that and because regardless of what is occurring in my life, it is important to rehmember to stick with the idea: be kind, honest, generous and always treat others with respect. It is no surprise I have been going through a rough patch trying to maintain a smile despite the events around me. Last week was the first time in a long time a person came up to me, asked me a question and I didn’t think they had an another motive. Stay positive without expecting anything has been my go to thought. This is the result when time after time it feels I make a plan, make a goal only to see them tore down due to external circumstances. So again, I find myself making it through a maze of walls. So when I vote for a leader, I vote for one that has gone through the struggle of everyday life and still succeeds. One who will keep the USA out of conflict, out of debt, out of sickness, and out of hungar. I choose to remain confident that one day this country will see its troubles disappear by being a model of respect and honesty for the country it governs. I want that so our country can maintain its status as the leader, trend setter and model for all other nations in the world, regardless of any challenge our country faces now.
George Washington was voted for because he brought our countries freedom, Lincoln was voted for because he believed in the abolitionist movement, Franklin Delano Roosevelt was voted for because he would bring social security and jobs to those deep in the Great Depression. In these times when people weren’t doing well they voted for the person that would bring them out of their troubles. So whether you feel we are doing not so well or well, regardless of your chosen party VOTE for the one who you know is going to bring you out of the troubles you have been facing. VOTE for your and our countries future.

They happened upon a road, several of them oh so different for a regular Sunday evening drive. He thought it would be just a few minutes maybe twenty at most, he needed some flour. Just a little bit more for the bread he was making. Sandwiches always seemed more tastier with his own bread, softer, fresher and as thick as he wanted it. Though what was holding them, him and several of the other cars on the roadway, what was holding them up? Soon engines stopped idling and he could see the people getting out of their cars. They weren’t in a rush they slowly got out following the motions of the people in front of them. Sounds were barely audible, conversations weren’t even occurring just people getting out of their cars almost tip toeing. He did the same opening his door slowly and walking carefully down the street. No one seemed scared that was the weird thing, it was just curiosity what do we have to behold? Then it came into view a large almost glowing animal a black light couldn’t achieve the splendor of its fur coat and its glistening horn. There it was a unicorn. A mythical beast no more but living and here right before him and all these others. It had come back to bring good a sign that soon everything will be bountiful.
