Morning

Standard

scramble awake
dreams dissipate
covers removed
pressing feet
stands the body
through the frozen air
flipping switches
dispelling darkness
percolating the day
in multiple ways
dressing for the occasion
gathering items for use
communicating ideas
agreements made
processes begin
routines completed
although more to be done
amongst weaving thoughts
guiding the unwrapped day

Willow

Standard

rooted in the ground
it spreads wide and long
withdrawn from the eye below
seeking moisture around
above leaves face sunlight
growing within view
shading one so close
each year a new ring
expansive in its build
casting a presence
ancient with wisdom
through vast weather
adapting through change
flowing with air
standing through extremes
awed by its abilities
from just a tiny seed.

Haunted

Standard

forgotten days
of peace and innocence
conversations never had perseverance
then the light slowly opened everyone’s gaze

it was a push to participate
the glory of gaining ones friends
however it soon all depends
will you help me set the bait

don’t worry we will never be found out
just follow my lead
make sure to never let the secret bleed
it only works if she begins to pout

we wont stop there
only once its reduced to rubble
we can really pop the bubble
making sure there is nothing left to spare

we have what we wanted
torn off a nice piece of rust
it feels good to make such a bust
then why am I so haunted?
