Evolving

Standard

hidden from view
for concepts
are interweaving
making that
which was normal
out of the center
and into extremes
confusing thoughts
strongly held
by relationships evolving
over years seemingly
redefined into
intimate romance
personal reflection
extreme support
only returns
mutual respect
from what was
hidden from view

Scenery

Standard

silently roaming
demonstrating caution
affecting others through
minimalistic efforts
for the presence subsides
giving a chance
to allow their
kinetic senses
revealing avenues
brought here
to explore
not forgetting
leaves rustling
marking boundaries
handsome enough for
broadening views
never known before

What Is It?

Standard

what is it?
perplexing the mind
revolving thoughts
as new ones
are added

what is it?
that stops everything
in order to think
about days happenings
into tonights dreams

what is it?
that binds forever
internal meanings
concepts revealed
forging loyalties

what is it?
corridor long and narrow
gaining momentum
short electric
zaps of concentration

what is it?

Blue Jay

Standard

its beak, angular in shape
though small in formation
sings with a fervor
soft sounds
to the human ear
surrounded by feathers
blue on the back
white in the front
a tuft sticks out upon the head
leading to a tail
seemingly longer than the body
perched on a delicate branch
it continues to sing
until a rustle is heard
causing the blue jay
to fly away

The Best Housemate

Standard

“Hey I saw you parked outside the Wing Dome, what did you get the buffalo or traditional?”

“Didn’t get either went into the video store instead.”

“But I saw your car outside the Wing Dome.”

“I know there weren’t any spaces so I parked there.”

“You must have gone inside, your car was out front!?!”

“You have never parked somewhere but really went to another store?”

“That is not the point, the point is I saw your car parked out front.  You had to have gotten some wings.”

“I didn’t.”

“I don’t believe you.”

“As much as it may have looked like I did, I didn’t go into the Wing Dome.”

“Where are your movies then?”

“They were a one night rental, returned them this afternoon before I went to work.”

“See I knew you were lying. Even if you did go to the video store doesn’t mean you didn’t go into the Wing Dome.”

“I am not lying. I haven’t seen you for two days, how do you know what I have done and what I haven’t done!?!”

“I know I saw your car parked outside the Wing Dome.”

“What will it take for you to believe me?”

“Nothing, I know what I saw.”

“And I know what I didn’t do.”

“You are a @%*$^.”

“You’re the best housemate.”

The Wall

Standard

A strange feeling when faced with calamity of a wall.  The wall has no openings and remains outside the realms of a body’s reach.  Its vast clear vertical surface  smooth and free of divots allows  no sections of which to hold onto it, for it only slides or releases materials that try gripping its front.  Even methods to climb over the wall are null and void as it seems to grow taller on approach.  Walking around finding there is no end to its borders completely become evident when one is present.  Built of material impenetrable and covered with paint invisible to the naked eyes.

How does one build a wall so vast with material so indestructible even drilling is not successful.  The owners wanted to hold violent attacks, evil intentions, crazy thoughts, and fools who are stupid to go along with wars of justice without cause.  The catches of societies who conform degenerates of the human race into believing that they are the greatest of everyone and that their ways are the only ways at least this is what the leader infuses into their cranial lobes. Their ultimate goal is to chop off the ones that don’t belong.  Those who speak, write, walk and look different then others are left behind unless they themselves conform to the populous, even then membership cannot be guaranteed for if you fall outside of the lines, you too are left.  This wall was built to allow freedom of thought, personal individuality, mutual respect, and honor compassion combined with empathy.

Fire

Standard

small, invisible
contact made by
brushing together objects
sparks erupt
its projection unknown
combined with material
void of dampness
consuming items near
it slowly builds
flames appear
noticing their tyranny
the heat harnessed within
it builds momentum
raging so slightly
it provides comfort
edible food
giving many the ability
to survive in an
unbalanced world

Pulled Plug

Standard

with an email
saying thank you
with a story
began conversation
with a social network
discussions began

all the combinations
becoming a way of life
a business grew
with a need for destruction
the plug was pulled

stopping the emails
for your privacy
stopping the stories
for their staged interactions
stopping the voyeurism
for your benefit

for destruction became desire
I pulled away from you

Art on the Wall

Standard

a symbol here
certain colors present
designs familiar
voices heard before
words reprinted
silhouettes of figures
faces oh the faces
all in fused
intermixed treating
new works
wonderful art
priceless fortunes
viewed widely
open for interpretation
only the author
artist, creator
producer, developer
knows the connections

Lottery

Standard

find another way
tactics not viable
efforts pointless
words are nothing
actions are meaningless
as wrong builds
must find a way
overcome the nest
of obscenities
growing around
the lottery only
benefits one
as chances
diminish with each
probability is not
in your favor
even when winning
living in a world you had
no training to survive
the money goes quickly
if not used wisely
everybody still wants
easy money, they think
changing their ways
cloaking their
real intentions
for the only thing
they want is
what the lottery
seems to give
