a simple seed
found inside fruit
hard in exterior
protecting vital
elements of the
next generation inside
they are carefully
placed in a
particular sequence
remembering depth
soil nutrition
and the amounts
of sun and rain
will arrive
to have them
slowly sprout
becoming plants
bearing the same fruit
ready for harvest
after caring
ever so gently
for one small seed
