jagged its peaks
traveling for miles
thin or expansive
they traverse land
blocking its flatlands
rugged formations
basalt and obsidian
frame its edges
as flora and fauna
fill in its gaps
wondrous views
distance provides
within its surroundings
lost in a maze
of trees, grasses and flowers
sheltering animals
living there
without direction
there is no way out
though your host
the mountain
always provides
