tragic is death
no one wants it
we all yearn
for survival
to spend another
moment here
living with those
close to us
our family, friends
even acquaintances
strangers we never
met though
among our help
this is the world
pursued daily
bringing excitement
in the midst
of another’s company

the head is heavy
when it takes on functioning
it shares with the heart
though the heart only
pumps blood
the head senses
heat, cold, and pain
it calculates movement
need for nutrition
remains active in
thought gains along
with organization
dispensing information
shutting down
when too much
take a break it says
now is the time
to relax

against the opening
within the wall
paned in glass

their purpose
is to cover
all that can be seen
outside and in

some consider them
simple decorations
a single layer
carefully patterned

this thin material’s
translucent weaving
between worlds
reveals fuzzy movement

change the material
add another layer
fabric thick
rooms become opaque

blocking everything
from a double sided view
as though there are
no other worlds

a yank of a cord
twist of a rod
opens and closes
the dividing barrier

revealing only
what you want
enhancing views
along the way

was misunderstood
its flavor
gone bitter
who is its
rightful owner
could have it
been a friend
maybe closer
more intimate
possibly so
whoever it was
it has disappeared
from mixed up
levels of kindness
of which were
appreciated for
all different
flavors of love

essential for living
pressed for information
within files of thought
never sleeping
though factories
of production
sending orders of movement
emotional of stature
regimental in their physique
comprises the individual
amongst others just like itself
