regardless of occupancies

rapid heart beats

anxiety apparent 

that moment 

when after

months of winter

chilled indoors

warmed sand 

swallows toes

with each step

a spot found

unfolding towels

laid for comfort 

with a tug

and a pull

the body is

uncovered slowly 

showing every

detail normally

reserved for

bedrooms and bathrooms 

though here

the amount of

skin shown

can make

anyone nervous 

at the beach
