Studying

Standard

shan’t relate to events history
for now is different
people multiplied
across the world
needing help
for events to come
unlike anything in the past
though in reality
break it down
each conflict
is similar to today
information sought
to achieve an ending
how is it
I learn by examination
intent determines
strength of outcome
that remains to be studied

Questions

Standard

who said nothing is impossible?
why shouldn’t pigs have first class seats when flying?

can this be true?
why is it that rumpelstiltskin and supercalifragilisticexpialidocious are enjoyable to say?

what are the connections?
why do people buy suede shoes in rainy climates?

what does it really mean?
why don’t people hand wash or hang dry their clothes?

where will it all lead?
if vegetables and fruit grow as easily as other plants and flowers why don’t we grow more of them?

what is your greatest influence?
why is a country less diverse the further towards the middle you go?

is there something i don’t know?
when was the last time you spoke with someone without using or speaking of electronics?

where did it start?
does taking a deep breath really help?

was it you?
may I offer you some good blueberry pie?

does it ever end?
i don’t know ask me another question?

The Unknown

Standard

finding my way
around the unknown
that exploration
in a land so free
possibilities become
an exciting discovery
into a world
personable though
able challenges
bring laughter
unsaturated talent
performing well
building reputations
from positive reviews
amongst completely thorough
daily performances
providing stability
unimaginable in thought

Mentoring

Standard

each person
has at least one
regardless of
their social standing
it could be
a teacher, family member
friend, co-worker
some person
that you
regarded for
their abilities
that everybody has
including looks
talent, and personality
though for
some reason
without knowing
in your mind
they became
your mentor
though ignorance
narrows the field
of individuals
who impact
your interactions
shaping them
into multiple
successes everyday

-Jennie Nawrocki

Significance

Standard

when the world
brings ideas
making the day
more easy
for each should
be remembered
for its intention
the goal of achievement
whether that
project values
one or one hundred
each minute
of your time
needs your attention
all that effort
you are able to give
for without knowing
the insignificance
in your opinion
could be
everything to
somebody else

Who You Are

Standard

at what lengths
are you willing
to take steps
to gain acceptance
achievement, status
there are lines
that people develop
based on personal
values of upbringing
priorities of
social interactions
triaged for decision
defining who you are

-Jennie Nawrocki

College

Standard

exploring avenues
as the collegiate
gates open
discovering that
field of study
leading to a career
some may have wanted
others found intriguing
through difficult exams
hours of lectures
all-nighters of study
while gaining
independence of self
for friends found
help you
hone and develop
personality traits
through events
sad with disappointment
mad with betrayal
hilarious with laughter
enduring closely all the
happy memories
forming the
individual you are
as an adult
after those collegiate
gates close

All Along

Standard

ever so much
there is
something held
a thought
belief or idea
this is what
will come
feelings, events
alter perceptions
we don’t fight
though we
quell the fear
as past mishaps
weigh decisions
moving away
negativity of tomorrow
allows one
to enjoy
the day
with those
that have
been there
all along

-Jennie Nawrocki

Working Together

Standard

a piece
small possible selective
though still important
for within
its contribution
everything seems
unconnected, mismatched
missing these
pivotal requirements
nothing is left
or forgotten
holding onto
love felt
reminds us
that no one
is perfect
though all
are important
for this
is not a game
relationships are
not pawns
we are
a community
that depends
on each other
to treat everybody
with empathy
respect and
utmost compassion
