Living My Best

Standard

There will always be

A better this

A better that

For I am ok

at everything

but excellent

at nothing

No frets

No frowns

Just living my best

Even if it is

Just ok

Thinking about this some people say it is good to know your place in life because we all can’t be number one and stupid to try to improve on average. Then the flip side is why settle for second best you just don’t put your heart and soul into it or basically your lazy and have no drive.

So which is it am I lazy or unqualified to improve.

I have been told both but now it is time for me to find out.

How will you find out if you are living at the best you could ever possibly be?

2020

Standard

I started with hope

And that was soon gone

Then I said ok I can adjust

With no end in sight still

But that was soon gone

Just do this and all will be good

Soon I will be free

It is the new normal

Well 2020

You better start showing positivity

Because so far this year sucks

And my patience

Will never subside

Why

Because we have yet

To vote for a president

Also

Winter is coming

And

As soon as hurricane season is done

And the holidays occur

I know something you might not remember

It will be 2021

And a fresh start will begin again

So build hope

Savor flexibility

And most of all

Make your new normal

Better than normal

Because why clean house

If you leave something undone

You got the time

And it is your house anyway

Make it more than tolerable

Only livable

Inclusive

And satisfying

Starting Now

Standard

My purpose

Never changed

I wanted

To better

The world

In any way

I knew how

I wanted

Give people

With disabilities

A voice

A chance

That was

The same as ours

I wanted

To see everyone

Have opportunity

To be successful

Regardless of where

They came from

I wanted to stop

Seeing suffering

And start seeing

Satisfaction

I wanted

Our planet

To breathe

As though

It just finished

A summer rain

I wanted

What you wanted

To live

Without worry

Starting now

Chance

Where?

Standard

It is there

Where?

Over there

Where?

Can’t you read

Where?

It is so obvious

Where?

See right here

Where?

Unbelievably easy

Where?

I can’t help you out now

Where?

You need to know

Where?

You are late

Where?

Too late

Where?

Ugh!!!!!!!!

Ugh!!!!!!!!

Transitions

Standard

Transitions

Can be awkward

Exciting

Unexpected

Uncomfortable

Smooth surprises

Difficult

Easy

Horrible disasters

Without doubt

Well planned

Unorganized

Blessings

But without them

They slow progress

Boredom develops

Growth stumps

Stagnant cess pools

Build mountains of work

So prepared

or not

Life changes

Are you going to roll with it?

Only if I stand with why.

Be Healthy

Standard

We used to be

A melting pot

Now some call us

A mixed salad

Where each ingredient

Stands out

But nothing was equal

White privilege

Or lettuce dominated

To be true

And honor

All cultures respectfully

We need a new term

Simply put

In a day

Several meals

Could occur

Mixing balances of ingredients

So we are not one

Jumbled dish

But a balanced diet

Where to be healthy

Eat in moderation

Value the rainbow

Of colors

If you must cook

Process as little as possible

For food is best savored

In its natural state

In other words be yourself.

Who?

Standard

Who?

I want to do?

I want to go?

But why?

For yourself?

For someone else?

Who does it help?

How many people does it support?

Just people or environment too?

Maybe even animals benefit?

Could it be tweaked?

Or is it just for family?

Remembering the butterfly effect?

We are not alone?

So I ask who?
