curiosity is curious

for some only about 

dig so deep

needing only part

of what is needed

to continue momentarily 

there are those who don’t ask

for they go with the status quo

rarely an individual 

may go down a road

of secluded knowledge 

others go on tangents

dead ends really

while a few people 

ask just the right questions

creative thoughts

curiously spring

my role within

trying to

stop the pain

of losing

friends, families

population of the world

has many regrets

several apologies

torn down

happy memories

to rely upon

layered over

taunts given

trap me

in between

for both worlds

some see professionals

for guidance 

when things go astray 

others tend to

relive their decisions

interaction for

what is received

always is a surprise

even when expected

for encounters

trip the mind

into a world

of infinite thought

who is not wanted

half century old

not consider

the vibrant youth

when they were

beginning to learn

the wisdom

accumulated since then

their features

hardly altered

for we still see

friendly personalities

giving them

protection from being

anything except having

admirable abilities

to continue to

make any room

invisible to

their looks
