see it

before your eyes

something unheard of

spontaneous thought

an unknown creation

formed completely 

maybe out of necessity 

perhaps by accident 

whatever the origin 

here we have

something unbelievable

she gave us our existence 

through extreme pain

all was forgotten 

when the being

small and delicate

was born

and from that

moment on she knew

she was a role model

a protector, a teacher

but most of all 

she was a mother

inside muscles

increasing intensity 

until finally

it relaxes

wondering when

if ever

it will 

come again

civility compassion 

ability to know

the extent

steadiness necessary

for others

to have

more moments

where you are

with people

who want 

to be together

as though

each of us

in every person

homeless, sick

regular, rich

 to mom and pop

would you pass

them by

it is our responsibility 

to make sure

every person

has a tomorrow

whatever happens

for there is

the need

for completion 

that sense

of closure 

most desire

though it

hasn’t occurred

continue 

for nothing 

will be right

unless we succeed
